Bubblers vs. Bongs

Bubblers vs. Bongs

Smokers sometimes wonder what is the difference between bubblers and water bongs. Here is the answer. A bubbler is basically something between a water bong and a glass pipe. It is quite small smoking device with a tiny water chamber, but the size corresponds to a bigger glass pipe.

Main differences between bongs and bubblers

One of the differences is the mouthpiece. While glass bongs have the mouthpiece mostly wide, bubblers's mouthpiece is very narrow with a tiny hole so it can fit easily in the mouth. Water bongs also provide smoother and larger hits than glass bubblers. Hits from glass bubblers are smaller and also harsher than from the bong, but on the other side bubblers are still better than hits from the classic pipes. Bubblers can be made in various shapes and designs. You can find on the market lots of artistic pieces, for ex. shapes of animals - elephants, octopuses etc. Water bongs, on the other side,  are usually made only in classic bong shape but surely in plenty of different designs.

Common features of water bongs and glass bubblers

Bubblers are made as well as glass water bongs with the same types of bowls and downstems. Therefore you can choose the glass on glass bubblers and glass bongs with a pull out downstem, rubber grommet bubblers and bongs - the bowl is sealed with a rubber grommet or bubblers and bongs with a fixed pot, when the stem is integrated inside the water base. Carb holes are mostly present on all glass bubblers. Usually there is not a carb hole on the glass on glass ones, while the water bongs can have one also on glass on glass pieces.
